Leadership Accomplishments and Passions
Facilitated interprofessional opportunities for OTD students with Physician Assistant and Physical Therapy students at Gannon University, Spring, 2023. Am currently developing a poster presentation for Nexus Summit, 2023 IPE Conference.
Have formally and informally mentored OTs and OT students who wish to specialize in hand therapy and/or want to prepare for the CHT exam. Developed several semi-structured independent studies for PP-OTD students interested in hand therapy.
Am passionate about our OT role in the treatment of persons with chronic pain. I have lectured and written about this topic frequently.
Am passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of OTs. I believe we are all responsible for insuring the future of OT by facilitating student success through educational opportunities, fieldwork, and conference presentations.
Am passionate about assisting in the recognition of the great OTs who have come before me, who have served to mentor me, who have taken on leadership roles and advocated for us. I want to be part of preserving their legacy.
