Introduction
The OT Leaders and Legacies Society (OTL&LS) Mentorship Project enables mid-senior career (5 or more years of practice) occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants to seek mentorship in leadership, advocacy, education, practice, and scholarly activities from members of the OT Leaders and Legacies Society. Below is information for prospective mentees to apply for this initiative and for OTL&LS members interested in becoming mentors.
Important Notes
Prospective mentors and mentees can submit applications via the respective online forms below.
The specific focus, format, and length of the mentorship experience will be mutually determined by the mentor and mentee.
The database of mentee and mentor information will only be used internally to match mentees and mentors, and will not be published on the OTL&LS website or be made publicly available.
Information for Mentees
The OTL&LS Mentorship Project welcomes applications from mid-senior career occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants (5 or more years of experience) who are seeking mentorship with an OTL&LS member who has expertise in their area(s) of interest.
If you are seeking a mentor, please identify the principal area(s) in which you are seeking mentorship by completing a Mentee Application online.
Your responses will be placed in a database that will be used internally to match mentors and mentees. The database will not be published on the OTL&LS website or be made publicly available.
Information for Mentors
The Mentorship Project Committee invites all OTL&LS members to consider becoming a mentor to a mid-senior career occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant. We ask you to reflect on your leadership, advocacy, education, practice, and/or scholarship activities and consider seizing the opportunity to share the knowledge and skills you acquired by pursuing your passion(s) with a mentee.
If you are interested in participating in this program by serving as a mentor, please identify your area(s) of expertise by completing the Mentor Survey online.
Your responses will be placed in a database that will be used internally to match mentors and mentees. The database will not be published on the OTL&LS website or be made publicly available.
