Pam Toto

Pamela Toto, PhD, OTR/L, BCG, FAOTA is an Associate Professor and Program Director for the Doctor of Clinical Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh. She is Board Certified in Gerontology and a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Dr. Toto has over 26 years of clinical, teaching and research experience focusing on productive aging for older adults, and a history of professional leadership at both the state and national level. Early in her career, Dr. Toto served as the Annual Conference Chairperson, the Annual Conference Program Chairperson and the secretary of the executive board of the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association. She has also been appointed and served as a member of the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Education and Licensure Board. These roles provided the necessary experience for her service at a national level. Within AOTA, Dr. Toto has served in a number of appointed positions including the Gerontology Special Interest Section (GSIS) Quarterly Editor, Ad Hoc Committee for Medicare Part B Cap Repeal, Ad Hoc Workgroup on Productive Aging, Editorial Board for OT Practice, Emerging Leader Mentor, Ad Hoc Work Group for Procedural and Organizational Change, AOTPAC Circle of Advisors, Centennial Vision Strategic Planning Work Group, member of the Representative Assembly, and member of the Commission on Practice. Dr. Toto has also served in elected positions including GSIS Chairperson, Chairperson of the Special Interest Section Council, and AOTA Board of Director.
